I had a terrible experience at Nye Dental. Before anything was done, I clearly explained that I had a traumatic experience with a dentist as a child and that I would be very anxious during my appointment. Unfortunately, I did not feel like that was taken seriously. During my X-rays, I was visibly uncomfortable and struggling because of my anxiety. Although the staff was polite, I felt more like my anxiety was an inconvenience than something they were trying to help me through. I needed patience and reassurance, and I simply didn’t feel that. I was then told I had 13 cavities that all needed to be filled and that all four wisdom teeth needed to be extracted. I knew that one of the wisdom teeth needed to be extracted but, I wasn’t given a clear explanation as to why all four needed to come out... I was also presented with a treatment plan costing over $1,000, with approximately $1,500 for fillings and extractions, and I felt pressured toward financing before I was comfortable moving forward. My Experience with NYE Dental – Dearborn Unfortunately, my experience with this office left me feeling disappointed and undervalued as a patient. I scheduled my appointment through Opencare after seeing a promotion for an Amazon gift card. I arrived for my appointment fully prepared to receive whatever treatment the dentist recommended. I had qualifying dental insurance, was prepared to pay any applicable costs, and expected to complete my visit that day. Instead of receiving a cleaning during my initial appointment, I was examined and provided with a treatment plan that included a cleaning and additional work to be completed later. After my visit, I learned that I did not qualify for the promotional reward because the qualifying service had not been completed during my appointment. After the office contacted me to schedule the treatment that had since been approved by my insurance, I explained that my disappointment wasn't simply about the gift card—it was about the principle. As a consumer, the promotion influenced my decision to choose this office, and I felt frustrated that I had done everything expected of me, yet the outcome depended on circumstances outside of my control

Great bedside manor and friendlessness from all the staff. They listen and want to make sure you're comfortable out of genuine care and have easy payment plans if you need it! Happy I found my regular dentist :)

The employees here are so patient, and kind! I got here late twice from being turned around in the area and they still could see me. Which I am so grateful for! Gentle hands with cleaning, and examining my teeth . Very easy going people . Also like that they don't have the bright moveable light that most places pull over your head , just the ceiling lights , so that helps as well if you have anxiety or trouble with migraines . Quick and thorough visits.

Extremely positive first time experience here! I just moved to the area and was looking for a dentist, found them on Open Care via Instagram. Front desk was super informative and explained what my insurance would cover, answered everything question thoroughly. Everything was very clean, exam chairs were comfy (lol). X-rays, hygentist, and dentist were polite and friendly throughout my new patient exam. Happy to come back for my cleaning! Thanks for a great first experience y'all!
